Directions:

Coming north or south on I-75/I-71, take the Florence-Union exit (#180) and turn onto US 42 north. Then turn left onto Ewing Blvd. The campus is one block on the left. By bus, take the Industrial Road TANK bus to the bus stop at the corner of Industrial Road and US 42. The campus is a 5-minute walk from this stop.

Julian Adkins retired from the U.S. Army where he served in communications. He currently is a manager at WellPoint Health Networks, INC. Julian received a Bachelor of Arts degree in organizational leadership and a Master of Science degree in health informatics from Northern Kentucky University. He is an instructor at the National College Florence Campus.

Valerie Bowman - Director of IT Programs

Valerie Bowman has held several positions in the IT field for over 30 years in both the public and private sectors, including work as a support specialist, a networking consultant, and an IT Department Director. She received her bachelor's degree in management from Northern Kentucky University and her master's degree in Information Systems from University of Phoenix. In addition, Valerie holds an A+ certification from CompTia as well as MCP, MCP+Internet, MCSE, and MCT certifications from Microsoft. She is currently the IT Department Chair for the Florence Campus and teaches a wide range of courses in the areas of office technology, business, math, and computer networking.

Claude Dallas - Instructor

Claude Dallas holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University, a Master of Science degree from University of Cincinnati, a Master of Arts degree from Liberty University, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education degree through Liberty University. His professional career includes seven years with Pfizer, Inc. selling fine chemicals to food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic manufacturers in Los Angeles before moving to the Medical Products Division of Minnesota Manufacturing and Mining Co. selling respirators and radioactive seeds for implantation. Claude gained experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician through Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy. He is a published author, having contributed a chapter to the book "Men to Men" by Zondervan Publishing and a book of poems, "A Legacy of Love: Bridging the Gap," with Xlibris, Inc publishers. Claude serves as an instructor in the health care program at the National College Cincinnati and Florence Campuses.

She serves on the executive management team of a financial services firm. Jennifer is a Certified Public Accountant and an instructor at the National College Florence Campus.

Barry Harsaran is an instructor of accounting and business courses at the Florence Campus. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree majoring in management and a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas. His teaching interests are in the area of Management Accounting and Business Management. Barry currently serves as a Director of Finance and Accounting in the transit industry. His prior work experience includes a position as general manager for a financial services company in Cincinnati, Ohio, as well as a position in high speed production for General Mills in Dallas, Texas. He also held positions in Accounting for Verizon and IBM in Dallas. Barry has also lived in New York City and in the Caribbean/South America area and brings a global view of business to his students.

Cheryl Heer has taught at the high school and college levels over the past 30 years. She received her bachelor's degree in political science and French from Malone College and received her master's degrees in library science and political science from Case Western Reserve University. Besides teaching general education courses, Cheryl is also the Florence Campus librarian.

Yan Krayterman is an instructor in the Information System Engineering Program (ISE) at the Florence, KY, Dayton, OH, and Cincinnati, OH Campuses. He holds a master's degree and a bachelor's degree in Heat Engineering and an associate degree in Network Engineering. Yan holds numerous industry certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, and CompTIA, including MCITP, MCSE, MCDBA, MCTS, MCP, MCPI, CCNA, Security+, Network+ and A+. He has almost 14 years of field experience in IT, mostly in roles related to IT Infrastructure and has worked as IT Department Manager, Sr. Network Engineer, Sr. Network Operations Center(NOC) Engineer, Network Administrator, Help Desk Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, and IT Instructor. Yan has been with National College since 2009.

Carolyn Nienaber has worked in the medical field for more than 10 years. Carolyn has an Associates of Applied Science from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and is a Certified Surgical Technologist. She teaches core medical courses at National College's Florence Campus.

Amy has spent 22 years in healthcare, working as a nurse, nurse executive, consultant, and as a nursing home administrator for over 15 of those years. She is currently a Candidate for Unitarian Universalist ministry, and serves a Cincinnati congregation as Intern Minister when she is not teaching. Amy teaches Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, and other courses as available.

He has worked as a senior help desk analyst for Pomeroy IT Solutions, a network monitor/help desk technician for Mastec Network Services, and as a licensed realtor for Places for the Heart Realtors. Mamadou is currently an instructor of information technology at the National College Florence Campus.

Peyton Simpson is a Certified Public Accountant and spent 25 years as a partner with Big 4 Accounting firms. He has been CFO for several companies and presently is a register investment advisor. Peyton holds a Bachelor of Science degree, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Kentucky. He is an instructor of accounting at the National College Florence Campus.

Debie Smith has over 20 years of teaching experience, ranging from middle school through post-secondary education. In addition, she has served in a variety of human resources positions within the financial services industry, including recruiting, training, payroll, benefits, and employee relations. Debie holds a Master's of Business Administration degree in Management and a Bachelor's degree in Business Education. She currently serves as Department Chair for the Business Management program at the Florence Campus.

Gerry has experience as a Research Attorney and Account Manager. He serves as an instructor of business and law courses at the National College Cincinnati and Florence Campuses.

David White holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Wright State University and a Master of Arts degree in psychology from University of the Rockies. He has over 20 years of hotel management experience, has worked for the CSX railroad as a conductor and for AMDG as an instructor for conductors, and has experience as an intervention specialist for a charter school. David is currently an instructor of psychology at the National College Florence Campus.

Jennifer Wilson has worked in the healthcare field for seven years and is now working in the medical billing and coding field. She currently works at Bottom Line Systems working on denials and underpayments. She holds several coding certifications and is an instructor of medical billing and coding courses at the Florence Campus.

Cynthia Wilson has worked in the medical field for over 20 years as a Registered Medical Assistant. She is an instructor of medical and clinical courses and currently serves as the Director of Health Care Education at the Florence Campus. Cynthia also oversees the externship practicum for Pharmacy Technician and Medical Assistant students.
