She received her bachelor's degree in Business Management from The University of Phoenix, and her master's degree in Educational Psychology from Capella University; she is also completing her Doctorate in Educational Psychology with a concentration in teaching and instruction. Tamara Curry CAP-OM, ATS, BBA, MSM Tamie Curry has served in a variety of positions within the administrative field, including office clerk, secretary, administrative secretary, and is currently an office administrator for a Fortune 500 company. Tamie received her Associate of Technical Studies degree in business from Columbus State Community College and her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Science in Management degrees from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She is also a Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) with a concentration in Organizational Management (OM) and has completed her MOS certification in Microsoft Word and Excel. Tamie is the two time past president of the Columbus Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals. She has gained experience working in various pharmacy practice settings, which include hospital pharmacy (St. Anne's Mercy Hospital; Toledo, Ohio), retail pharmacy (CVS pharmacy; Columbus, Ohio) and family practice pharmacy (Grandview Family Practice; Grandview, Ohio). Nicole graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy with her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. Mary Dow AAS, CMA(AAMA) Mary Dow is a Certified Medical Assistant who has been an instructor in the Medical Assisting program at the Columbus Campus of National College since 2009. After graduating from Columbus State Community College with an Associate degree in Applied Science in Medical Assisting, she gained over 8 years of experience working as a Certified Medical Assistant in various doctors' offices. Mary has experience in providing care in family practice, urology, dermatology, and multi-specialty practices. She is both CPR and First Aid certified and recently completed her degree in Health Information Management Technology in a Clinical Workflow Redesign and Practitioner Consultant Role. She is currently working on a bachelor's degree in Allied Healthcare Management. |

Maria Festing AAGS, BS, PhD Maria Festing has worked in the field of biology and genetics for over a decade, both in a teaching and research capacity. She has also written and published a number of primary research articles. Maria has a Bachelor of Science degree in genetics and developmental biology from The Pennsylvania State University, and a doctoral degree in molecular genetics from The Ohio State University. Lonnell Johnson BS, MA, PhD Lonnell Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Purdue University, a Master of Arts degree in English from Emporia State University, and a PhD in English from Indiana University. He served in the U.S. Army and was a pharmacy instructor at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. For more than thirty-six years, Lonnell has taught English on the university level in Kansas, Indiana, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Ohio. In addition, he has worked as a hospital pharmacist, editor, administrator, director of public relations, and information analyst. He has published articles on a variety of subjects, such as biblical research and African-American literature and has authored three collections of poetry and a personal narrative, two of which were published by Ambassador Press, which he established in 2005. As Christian Spirituality Examiner for Examiner.com, Dr. Johnson continues to explore ways to enhance his communication skills in writing and speaking. Pat Kedzerski AA, AAB, BA, MA Patricia E. Kedzerski is Chair of the General Education/Humanities department at the National College Columbus Campus. She has over twenty years of college teaching experience with emphases in English Composition, Basic Writing, and Business and Administrative Communication. Pat is a 2011 National College Dedicated Service Award recipient. Since the Columbus campus opened in 2009, she has served as secretary to the Campus Academic Committee, co-creator of the original Career Readiness Plan and committee member for a number of ad hoc committees. She was the advisor for Purple Note, the campus student newsletter. During 2010-2011, she was an e-mentor with a number of other National College Columbus Campus faculty and staff with Ohio State's Nisonger Center, which matched mentors with students in K-12 schools across Columbus. Pat also taught for more than fifteen years at The Ohio State University, where she earned her master's degree in English Composition. In addition to teaching through the English Department there, she served five years as liaison and instructor in a literacy outreach partnership through the Basic Writing Program and also taught through Ohio State's Office of Minority Affairs' Young Scholars' Program and the Samuel DuBois Cook Summer Program. Her writing has been published in academic journals, and she has presented in her field at national conferences. She is author of a volume of poetry, Take a Giant Step. |

Julie Kovac BBA, CPA Julie graduated Cum Laude from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. She has over 17 years of experience in operational management and tax advisory services. She has worked in accounting for various businesses, with the majority of her experience being in a Controller or Chief Financial Officer position. She founded Julie A. Kovac, CPA, a public accounting firm, whose primary focus was consulting small businesses on their financial and tax needs. Julie later sold her accounting firm after being recruited as the Chief Financial Officer by a large multi-site church. She has served on various non-profit boards within the last 7 years and graduated from a leadership program. She currently is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, where she serves on various committees, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Ohio. Julie is an instructor at the National College Columbus Campus and serves as Department Chair of the Accounting program. |

Beth Laurenz MBA, BS, AAS, CMA (AAMA) Beth Laurenz has practiced as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 25 years. She received her certificate of Practical Nursing from the Columbus School of Practical Nursing North Adult Education Center and holds a Nursing License from the State of Ohio. In her nursing career, Beth has worked in physicians' offices, hospitals, clinics, home health care, and extended health care facilities. The majority of her career was spent at the Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute in the post anesthesia care unit (PACU). While at the James, Beth received certification in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), cardiac defibrillation, and extensive training in IV therapy. She received an Associate degree in Applied Science majoring in Medical Assisting from Columbus State Community College and received her Certified Medical Assisting certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants. Beth received both her Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in Health Care Management and a minor in Human Resource Management, and her Master of Business Administration degree, with a focus on leadership, from Franklin University. Beth has served as the Director of Healthcare Education at the Columbus Campus of National College since 2009. |

Douglas Lewis JD, Ph.D, Au.D, MBA Dr. Doug Lewis is president and owner of Excalibur Business Consultants, LLC consulting in a wide range of areas involving healthcare, business, microenterprise development, and law while also maintaining a small law practice on the side. He also serves as general counsel and compliance officer for several other related organizations. He is an instructor of law and ethics, business, healthcare, and other courses at the National College Columbus Campus. Doug earned his AuD degree along with a Ph.D, Juris Doctor degree, three master's degrees, two bachelor's degrees, and an associate degree. He maintains professional licensure and practices in Law, Clinical Audiology, Insurance, Securities Analysis, and Nursing Home Administration along with earning numerous association certifications and registries. |

Stephanie List MS; BS Stephanie List is a full-time instructor at the Columbus, Ohio Campus of National College, where she primarily teaches the anatomy and physiology courses required for those students enrolled in the various Health Education majors, in addition to medical terminology, pathophysiology, and advanced drug dosage and calculations courses. Stephanie has practiced as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for 7 years, providing anesthetic care for both general surgical and obstetric patients. She was previously employed at Mount Carmel West hospital as a Registered Nurse in the cardiac intensive care unit. Stephanie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Wright State University and her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Akron. |

Gloria Livingston BS, RHIT Gloria Livingston holds an Associate degree, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Technology, and she received her Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). She has experience working as a medical records coordinator for Bethesda North Ambulatory Surgery Center, but she spent the majority of her career working for Bethesda Hospital in several different roles, including the medical records supervisor, serving as a back-up to the manager, and medical coder/abstractor. Gloria gives back to the health information management (HIM) community by being an advocate for new professionals in the field and a mentor.
