National College’s Database Administration program is designed to meet the needs of today’s corporate workplace and can prepare you for a position as a database administration professional.

In this program you will learn about relational database management systems, network client-server administration, network security, operating systems, and data sharing utilizing XML. The Database Administration program includes an externship which will provide you the opportunity to gain career-related experience and strengthen your resume.

As a student in the Database Administration program, you will:

  • Study database applications with a focus on database programming, administration concepts and tasks using Oracle.
  • Acquire skills in software development, internet communications, and network administration.
  • Learn how to examine issues, and organize information and data in computer databases.
  • Learn how to examine the size and needs of a business or organization to create and implement computer database requirements.
  • Learn potential problems that can occur with database administration and how to fix them when the issues occur.
