About National
She was determined to prove them wrong!
"National is truly like family," says Bluefield Campus '98 graduate Tonya Horne Boyd. As a single mother, most everyone thought Tonya's dream of pursuing an education was never going to be realized. She was determined to prove them wrong!
Tonya graduated with a Medical Assisting Associate's Degree and now works with other National College graduates at Dr. Safi's endocrinology office. Tonya wears many hats including medical assisting and office duties. She says, "I received exactly what I needed [from National] to survive in the work place...I truly do not know where I would be in my life if I hadn't received the education and encouragement that I did at National."
